Domnern Somgiat & Boonma is proud to have been selected as an official partner for the prestigious E-Transaction Law Moot Court Competition 2024, organized by the Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA) under the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society. This impactful event aimed to promote awareness and understanding of electronic transactions among students and the broader community.

Domnern Somgiat & Boonma (DS&B) was honored to participate in the Workshop on Effective Practices in Investigation and Enforcement Against Content Piracy 2024, jointly organized by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), the ASEAN Secretariat, and the ASEAN IP Academy. The workshop provided specialized training for government officials across ASEAN, with this year’s session attended by approximately 50 participants from nine countries, including public prosecutors, IP officers, investigators, and law enforcement personnel.

In a significant demonstration of Thailand's commitment to intellectual property rights protection, a large-scale destruction ceremony of counterfeit goods was held on 23 August 2024, at the Royal Thai Army's 7th Air Defense Regiment complex in Bangkok. The event, jointly organized by the Department of Intellectual Property (DIP), Customs Department, Royal Thai Police, and Department of Special Investigation (DSI), marked a crucial step in Thailand's ongoing efforts to combat IP infringement.

This summer, DS&B welcomed six promising law students from Chulalongkorn University, Thammasat University, and Mae Fah Luang University to experience the daily life of IP practitioners. During their two-month internship, these students got their first taste of what it means to practice intellectual property law in Thailand.
