From 9–12 July 2026, the Department of Intellectual Property (“DIP”), Ministry of Commerce, hosted the Thailand Character & Content Expo 2026 (TCEX 2026), a major international licensing and intellectual property exhibition highlighting Thailand’s growing creative economy. Held at Siam Paragon, the event showcased a wide range of Thai intellectual property assets, including characters, digital contents, games, animation, and other creative works.

The opening ceremony was presided over by the Deputy Prime Minister and Commerce Minister, the Director-General of the Department of Intellectual Property, together with senior government representatives. The event forms part of the Thai Government’s ongoing efforts to promote the commercialization of intellectual property and to encourage utilization of IP rights as strategic assets.

As a part of this exhibition, the DIP organized an IP awareness promotion campaign under the theme “No Sale, No Use, No Support for Infringement” to demonstrate severe damage from piracy to lives, health, the economy and the society in general. The campaign also included a demonstration march by the authorities, right holders, and attendees from Siam Paragon to Siam Square, which is considered one of the largest and best-known shopping areas in Bangkok, publicizing the campaign to pedestrians, particularly teenagers, to promote the campaign and raise awareness in dealing with IP-infringing goods.

As part of this initiative, DS&B was invited by the DIP to display samples of counterfeits from our enforcement actions and join the march. This event reflects Thailand’s continued commitment to strengthening its intellectual property ecosystem through a combination of public education, industry collaboration, and enforcement measures.
