ELECTION RESULTS: NEW LEADERSHIP FOR AIPPI THAI GROUP AND APAA RECOGNIZED GROUP OF THAILAND

AIPPI Thai Group Elects New Management Committee Members (24 August 2023)
The Thai Group of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) held its election on 24 August 2023 under the stewardship of Mr. Chavalit Uttasart, President of the Thai Group. We are delighted to announce that one of our own, Prad Vatanasuchart, a dedicated Patent Engineer from DS&B, has been elected as one of the five new Management Committee members. His election is a testament to his steadfast dedication to intellectual property matters, and we have no doubt that he will make a significant impact in this role.
APAA Recognized Group of Thailand Welcomes New Councilors and Standing Committee Members (1 September 2023)
On 1 September 2023, the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA) Recognized Group of Thailand, led by Group President Rutorn Nopakun, a Partner at DS&B, elected its new APAA Councilors and Standing Committee Members for the APAA years of 2023-2025. We are pleased to announce that Apiwatt Kongsoowan, a Partner at DS&B, has been elected as one of the five new Councilors. Apiwatt’s wealth of experience and dedication to intellectual property law make him a valuable addition to the Group’s leadership.
But that’s not all. DS&B lawyers have also left their mark on the APAA Standing Committees, playing a pivotal role in shaping intellectual property practices. Four of our esteemed lawyers have been elected as members across four out of the six Standing Committees:

These newly elected Councilors and Standing Committee Members will serve a two-year term starting right after the APAA 20th General Assembly and 74th & 75th Council Meeting to be held in Singapore in November this year.
