DOMNERN SOMGIAT & BOONMA
INTA 2023 ANNUAL MEETING HIGHLIGHTS

Domnern Somgiat & Boonma (DS&B) was well represented at the INTA 2023 Annual Meeting  ̶  May 16 to 20 in Singapore, by Partners Rutorn Nopakun, Apiwatt Kongsoowan, Nathapong Tongkaew, and Associates and Attorneys, Oraphan Chayanuwat, Sarinya Nilubol, and Passara Thammashotworn. Five active days rolled out for all, as the group visited exhibitions, joined stimulating meetings, and shared expertise on: developments and legal trends affecting Thailand, plus importantly reinforced client relationships  ̶  following COVID-driven challenges. Just a few of the updates on recent developments included:
1) Thailand’s new Fast Track Examination System for Trademarks
2) recent Customs actions against counterfeits
3) Royal Decree on the Digital Platform
4) Official Notification by Data Protection Committee on personal data protection

INTA 2023 also presented an opportunity to schedule knowledge-sharing meetings with Singapore-based law firms and corporates, for shared mutual benefits. DS&B representatives 100% agreed that these Face2Face client meetings were the best way to gain meaningful feedback on legal servicing, and concepts for future initiatives. The group returned to Thailand with a full agenda for new developments.

For DS&B, the INTA 2023 Annual Meeting will be remembered as a major highlight for the year.
