In a significant stride towards enhancing Intellectual Property (IP) education across Thailand, Domnern Somgiat & Boonma (DS&B) played a pivotal role in bridging the gap between academic knowledge and real-world IP licensing practices. Nathapong Tongkaew, DS&B’s Partner and an esteemed IP Board member in several public research universities, was recently invited to impart his expertise on IP Licensing Agreements. This occasion was part of an advanced training initiative aimed at elevating the proficiency of IP officers from universities nationwide.

Jointly organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation and Khon Kean University, a beacon of research excellence in Thailand, the event was meticulously designed for seasoned IP officers from various universities nationwide. Through his session, Nathapong not only shared critical insights into the nuances of IP licensing but also facilitated a robust exchange of real-life challenges and solutions among the approximately 50 attendees. This collaborative effort underscores DS&B’s commitment to fostering a knowledge-sharing ecosystem, thereby contributing to the broader goal of propelling the nation’s intellectual property landscape forward.
