DS&B FACILITATES STRATEGIC IP ENFORCEMENT TRAINING FOR THAI AUTHORITIES

Domnern Somgiat & Boonma hosted a comprehensive training session in Bangkok, bringing together major international brands and Thai law enforcement agencies in a collaborative effort to enhance IP protection in Thailand.

The July 16 event welcomed 85 representatives from key law enforcement agencies, including the Customs Department, the Department of Intellectual Property (DIP), the Department of Special Investigation (DSI), the Royal Thai Police’s Economic Crime Division (ECD), and the Royal Thai Police’s Metropolitan Police Bureau (MPB). The training focused on practical aspects of IP enforcement, including trademark identification and authentication techniques for genuine products. This hands-on approach aimed to enhance the authorities’ ability to detect counterfeit goods effectively. Additionally, the session strengthened the collaborative relationship between brand owners and Thai enforcement agencies, demonstrating the brands’ commitment to IP protection in Thailand.
