Profile

Thirayut is a Patent engineer in patent department, specializing in patent prosecution in Thailand.

Thirayut obtained advanced masters’ degree in embedded systems course, designed by ENSEEIHT and ISAE-SUPAERO partners, with the support of the embedded systems industry in Toulouse, France.   He has knowledge of the embedded systems used in aeronautics, space and the automotive sector with both system level and functional level design skills.   As a result, he specializes in patents regarding in all hardware (electronics, energy), software (programing, network, modeling, analysis and certification), and control issues of Embedded System within an integrated system based perspective.

Additionally, Thirayut has research experience in digital signal processing, pattern recognition and machine learning as a research assistant during his graduate study in DSPR Laboratory at Chulalongkorn University.  With these experiences and knowledge, he also specializes in patents regarding digital signal processing, digital video coding, pattern recognition and machine learning.

With his strong understanding of engineering and experience, he has extensive technical experience in Thai translations of both claim and specification of patent application.  He assists clients obtain Thai patents by offering advice relating to Thai patent law, as well as preparing and filing patent applications, analyzing and responding to office actions from the Thai Patent Office.    He also provides technical assistance to the patent team in terms of filing and prosecution of patent application.

Prior to joining DS&B, Thirayut was a satellite engineer.   His work focused on satellite operation, anomaly monitoring, satellite maintenance and satellite calibration as well as research in space technology.

In addition to his work at DS&B, Thirayut was a conciliator at Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court.  He had a great deal of experience in mediation of patent, copyright and trademark lawsuits.

Thirayut has attended in a number of courses on patents and patent drafting, including Obtaining, Enforcing and Evaluating Intellectual Property Rights in Europe, Advanced Course on Basics of Patent Drafting, JPAA IP Practitioners Seminar, and Principle and Technic of Mediation organized by BOEHMERT&BOEHMERT, WIPO, The Japan Patent Attorneys Association and Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court, respectively.

Thirayut is a member of the Council of Engineers of Thailand (COE) as Associate Electrical Engineer (Power).
