Napat first joined Domnern Somgiat & Boonma as a trainee for two months when he was a third-year student at the Faculty of Law, Thammasat University in 2019. At that time, he not only handled trademark prosecution i.e. trademark appeals and oppositions, but also assisted in complex administrative disputes in telecommunication business. As an enthusiastic learner and researcher, he could find substantial information on both factual and legal issues in relation to the telecom interconnection charge, though being largely unprecedented and disputable. With his interest to learn more, he extended the training for six more months. After the training program, he returned to the firm again in 2022 as an associate. Currently, he is still contributing largely to the firm’s trademark prosecution team with the main responsibility to prepare appeals against examiners’ rejections as well as oppositions against infringers’ applications. Using his increasing research ability, he can find useful information of his clients as well as convincing precedents to support his arguments. He has also expanded his expertise beyond IPs to other fields, e.g. food and drug, consumer protection, and labor. . To pursue his eagerness to learn, he is currently studying the Master of Laws Program in Business Laws (English Program) at Thammasat University.
